Week 16: 52 Week Creative Photo Challenge

Week 16 was challenging for me because it was my first time working with horses on a shoot. Like many people, I have photographed horses from afar (like behind a fence....) but this time I was up close with the horses. Brittney, my lovely human model, was riding bareback which made it a little more dangerous for her. Brittney's family was kind enough to let me use their family farm for the shoot, and their horses too. We had an extra challenge too--the big flashes that I use for additonal lighting can cause horses (and many other animals) to spook and run away. Luckily the horses acclimated to the lighting quickly. See my favorites from the shoot in the gallery below!
