Week 23: 52 Week Creative Portrait Challenge

I don't want to brag, but I know some pretty cool people. I am not very cool, so I don't know why they hang out with me, but I am glad they do! My challenge for Week 23 was to photograph my lovely and talented friend Ashlyn Swafford, who is a yoga and aerial instructor at Pure Aerial and URU Yoga & Beyond in Pensacola. My idea for her portrait challenge was to create a series of vintage-looking posters inspired by real circus posters and other posters, from the early 1900s to the early 1970s. For this challenge, I photographed, edited and designed every poster listed below, using only my own images. I did use fonts from other people, because I am not really much of a font creator. Huge props to Jason McDonald of Headstrong Creative Hair Design, who is responsible for the amazing hair color and cut that Ashlyn is sporting. Below I have listed the posters in (fictional) chronological order. I would love to know what you think of Week 23!
