Week 24: 52 Week Creative Portrait Project

What does a Connect Four board have to do with photography? Well, nothing really, but I decided that my Week 24 shoot should use one. I was playing the game with my sister when I realized that the light and shadows from the Connect Four board would be really interesting as a Go-Between (gobo) light modifier. My lovely model, Jessica, was a great sport about this weird challenge week. We got more than a few sideways glances due to our light setup in downtown Pensacola. I wanted to showcase both the hard symmetrical lighting and the softer, gridded light. And if you look carefully at the close-up of her eye, you will see the reflection of the Connect Four board.
